Mid-Valley
Home of the
1015 Onion
Weslaco sits mid-Valley in Hidalgo County, far enough east of our McAllen base to carry a flat $39 travel fee and close enough that we are there constantly. The Texas 1015 onion was developed here and is the State Vegetable of Texas — the city throws a festival for it every March.
What shows up: nine gaming stations, six 50" Hisense QD7 MiniLED displays, a 65" outdoor screen, Dolby Atmos, and a climate-controlled interior. A host runs it.
What we bring
Around Town
Where We Set Up
in Weslaco
-
Downtown & Texas Boulevard
Texas Boulevard and Kansas Avenue anchor downtown, and the Texas Onion Fest closes them every March. Downtown lots are flat and easy to pull into.
-
Business 83
Business 83 runs the length of the city and most of our Weslaco bookings sit a few minutes off it. Simple approach, predictable arrival.
-
Weslaco ISD Campuses
Weslaco High, Weslaco East and South Palm Gardens serve a district of roughly 19,000 students. School visits open all 10 gaming stations on timed 30-minute rotations.
-
Estero Llano Grande State Park
230 acres with more than 350 bird species recorded, and no cars allowed past headquarters. The parking area out front is exactly the kind of level ground the bus needs.
-
Gibson City Park
Home to the Valley Nature Center, a six-acre preserve at 1000 East Business 83. Open park ground here gives us room to run laser tag alongside the bus.
-
Easy Off Expressway 83
I‑2 and Expressway 83 run straight west from Weslaco back to McAllen. Nothing about the drive is complicated, which keeps arrival times tight.
March fills up around the Texas Onion Fest downtown — if your date is close to it, reach out early.
