Into Cameron County
Worth the Drive,
and We Make It Often
Harlingen is the first city we reach heading into Cameron County, and it carries a flat $59 travel fee. It is a regular stop rather than a special trip — birthdays, school events and church nights here fill the same calendar as anything closer to home.
What shows up: nine gaming stations, six 50" Hisense QD7 MiniLED displays, a 65" outdoor screen, Dolby Atmos, and a climate-controlled interior. A host runs it.
What we bring
Around Town
Where We Set Up
in Harlingen
-
The Sunshine Strip
US‑77 runs through Harlingen as the Sunshine Strip and most of the city sits a few minutes off it. Straight approach, predictable arrival time.
-
Harlingen CISD Campuses
Harlingen High, Harlingen High School South on Dixieland Road, and Harlingen Collegiate over on Medical Drive. School visits open all 10 gaming stations on timed 30-minute rotations.
-
Marine Military Academy
The academy has trained boys in grades seven through twelve since 1965, and the Iwo Jima Memorial on its grounds is the original model for the statue at Arlington. Wide campus grounds park us easily.
-
Valley International Airport
The city-owned regional airport on the east side. Commercial lots around it are flat, generous and simple to pull a bus into.
-
Hugh Ramsey Nature Park
Part of the World Birding Center, with trails and observation blinds off the TX‑499 loop. Open ground near the park is exactly the level space the bus needs.
-
UTRGV Health & Medical Drive
The Regional Academic Health Center anchors the Medical Drive area, which keeps the corridor busy. Corporate and staff events here park in lots with room to spare.
Harlingen weekends move fast in spring and around the December holidays — the earlier you call, the better.
